USCIS updates Evidence Requirements under LRIF for Liberian refugees.

Updated: Jul 27, 2021

The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services announced today that it has updated the guidance in the USCIS Policy Manual regarding eligibility for adjustment of status under the Liberian Refugee Immigration Equity (LRIF). The updated guide clarifies what evidence an applicant can present to demonstrate that they have Liberian nationality when applying for adjustment of status under LRIF.

This means that the updated guide includes examples of secondary evidence that could support the application of someone with Liberian nationality; expired passports, baptism records or other religious documents and records. All evidence and testimony given by the applicant during an interview will be considered. All of this is evaluated to consider your eligibility for adjustment of status. For more information:

Some liberian nationals are eligible for permanent resident status (Green Card).
